Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Quill Forms ("Service", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Quill Forms is a web-based form builder and submission collection platform that allows users to:

  • Create and customize web forms with a visual editor
  • Collect form submissions from end-users
  • Receive submission notifications via email
  • Send submission data to external systems via webhooks
  • Manage form data with built-in PII protection features
  • Collaborate with team members on form creation and management

User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Collect personal information without proper consent
  • Send spam, phishing attempts, or unsolicited communications
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Create forms for illegal activities or fraudulent purposes
  • Use the Service to compete with or create a similar service

Content and Data Ownership

Your Content

You retain all rights to the forms you create and the data you collect through the Service. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • The content of forms you create
  • Ensuring you have proper consent to collect data from form respondents
  • Complying with applicable data protection and privacy laws
  • Properly configuring PII fields to protect sensitive information
  • The security and appropriate use of webhook endpoints you configure

Data Processing and Privacy

By using Quill Forms, you acknowledge that:

  • We process form submission data according to your instructions (email delivery, webhook configuration)
  • You are the data controller and we act as a data processor for form submission data
  • You must comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection regulations when collecting data
  • We automatically anonymize PII-marked fields after successful delivery to help you comply with data minimization principles

Service Availability

While we strive to provide reliable service, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service at any time, which may temporarily affect availability.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Quill Forms and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase (authentication and database) and Resend (email delivery). Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quill Forms and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Any conduct or content of third parties, including form respondents or webhook endpoints
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quill Forms and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any rights of another party, including form respondents, or (d) any content you submit through the Service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law
